Villa Cortine was part of an ancient little village, that stood on top of a hill in the heart of Chianti region. Still surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and woods on the watershed of the Elsa and Pesa valleys, the villa has its private entrance , garden and swiming pool , while next to it , all the houses that composed the village in the past, have been beautifully restaured to be country cottages for rent.
The House is still filled with antique pieces of furniture , beautiful big stone fireplaces, ancient paintings but also well equipped with modern amenities .
Here the silent magic treasure of a thousand years of collaboration between a generous soil and an extraordinary line of descendants is lovingly preserved.
Guests of this ancient abode, now it's time to lose yourselves in these surrounding lands which are rich in traces of Etruscan roads and memories of Roman conquerors.
In medieval Tuscany Cortine was also an important meeting point between Florence and Rome for pilgrims who walked along the "via francigena" on their way to the Vatican.<br>

ACCOMODATION DETAILS

As you go through the large gate you will come to a private car park with its independent entrance in front of the first of the gardens belonging only to the guests of the Villa.
GROUND FLOOR: large salon, a spacious kitchen, a dining room with fireplace, a T.V. room, a double bedroom , and two bathrooms. one with shower and the other with tub.
A side entrance takes you directly to another large park with a swimming pool reserved exclusively for guests of the Villa.
FIRST FLOOR: From the grand salon we find a double bedroom, bathroom, two twin bedrooms, each equipped with two single beds, and a bathroom with tub. There is also a narrow terrace accessible from two of the bedrooms.
At the end of the passage another double bedroom , with a terrace.
There is the possibility to host another 4 guests , beyond 10 , because there is another area located on the ground floor that features two bedrooms and one bathroom, plus a little service bathroom and a little dining room with kithchen. The area is reachable through a door from the main dining room.
